What to Expect

The church family at Norton Church is made up of young and old coming from a variety of many backgrounds.  Our members include faculty from the local colleges, lawyers, business owners, school teachers, administrators, full-time mothers, laborers, pharmacists, and retired seniors.  Dress tends to be business casual, with an emphasis on "casual."

Sunday School, 9 am.

Sunday School begins at 9 am.  The children meet in age-appropriate rooms and the adults gather in the Fellowship Hall.  Our curriculum comes from a variety of publishers, but in each class the Bible is considered to be the textbook.

Sunday Worship Service, 10 am.

Services run 60 to 70 minutes in length, with 35 minutes of preaching and teaching.  Sermons are expositional in style.  Most members bring their own Bibles, but NIV84 pew Bibles are provided.

The rest of the time is taken up with praise and worship, testimony and prayer.

Mid-Week Bible Study, Wednesdays at 6 pm.

Our mid-week Bible study is held in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday evenings, beginning at 6 pm.  Each study runs about 60 minutes.  Both dress and atmosphere are casual, with plenty of discussion.
